To encourage and facilitate the growth of Crewkerne as a safe and environmentally sustainable town with a strong sense of community pride and a thriving business community. The Town Council is committed to being open and inclusive, and to listening to and engaging with both residents and local businesses.
Our Key Strategic areas of focus
- Develop a Neighbourhood Plan for Crewkerne – commenced 2021 and in progress.
- Undertake major refurbishment of the Falkland Square public toilets – achieved 2022.
- Develop a new, modern website for the town – achieved February 2022.
- Re-establish the George Reynolds Centre (GRC) as a vibrant community facility for the residents of Crewkerne and surrounding villages – the GRC reopened post-Covid in September 2021 and is available to hire for functions and meetings as well as hosting our local sports teams and youth group.
Following the 2022 local elections, the town councillors will look to refresh their vision for Crewkerne.
