Proclamation of the Accession of the King

Following the national proclamation of the Accession of the King this morning (Saturday), the flag at Town Hall will be returned to full mast until the local proclamation is made at 4pm on Sunday 11th September.

The Mayor of Crewkerne, Cllr. Kathy Head, will read the proclamation from the steps of Town Hall at 4pm on Sunday 11th September. She will be joined by the Vicar of St Bartholomew’s Church. All residents are welcome at this historic occasion.

The Local Information Centre is open today (Saturday 10th) until 1pm for signing the Book of Condolence. It will also be open tomorrow between 2pm and 4pm.

Following the local proclamation on Sunday the flag will return to half-mast for the remainder of the period of national mourning.
