Councillors, Roles,  and Contact Details

Please note that Town Councillors can only act as a Committee; as such requests should normally be directed via the Town Council, although individual Councillors may choose to take on casework and meet with the public at regular council surgeries to listen to matters of concern. There is no ward structure in Crewkerne.

Representatives on Outside Bodies

The Town Council provides a council representative to community groups and other organisations that request it, in order to:

  • Provide a designated point of contact with the Town Council
  • Provide a source of information and advice on a wide range of issues
  • Enable the Town Council to be kept up to date with each group’s activities
  • Help some groups to feel part of the wider community

Current Councillors

There are no current vacancies on the Council, with elections due in May 2019. Since the 2015 Local Elections, the Town Council comprises:

Robin Pailthorpe Robin Pailthorpe Deputy Mayor and Chairman of Planning & Highways and Joint Burial Board Committee Member
robin.pailthorpe@crewkerne-tc.gov.uk Robin is an Industrial Valuer and came to Crewkerne from London having found the town some years earlier. He is now semi-retired and spends his time around the town, in the garden and (yes) in a pub or two! He served as Mayor for 5 years from 2012-2017.
Councillors Charles Aslett Charles.aslett@crewkerne-tc.gov.uk Charles works as a Chartered Legal Executive and has lived and worked in Crewkerne and the local area all of his life.  As a Town Councillor, he is looking forward to working for the local community and in playing his part in enhancing local services.

Councillors Paul Bradly paul.bradly@crewkerne-tc.gov.uk Paul was born in Hermitage Street and comes from an extensive Crewkerne family.  He has had a long and varied career involving the Royal Air Force, Ministry of Defence and the aviation industry.  Outside of work, Paul has taken on many community responsibilities over the years, including local charity chairman and treasurer, a town councillor in dorset and school governor chairman and head of finance.
 Kathy Head Kathy Head Mayor kathy.head@crewkerne-tc.gov.uk Kathy has lived in Crewkerne for 28 years and is a lecturer at Bournemouth University having retired after 42 years nursing in the NHS. She has been involved with the Henhayes Centre, the Dementia Friendly Organisation and Crewkerne Hospital League of Friends.

 Rusty Jackson Rusty Jackson Chairman of Amenities Committee rusty.jackson@crewkerne-tc.gov.uk Rusty has lived in Crewkerne for 34 years and was a teacher at Wadham School and then Area Community Education Officer. Since retirement she has run a training and fundraising business. In 2008 Rusty volunteered with an AIDs charity in Ethiopia. She is a Director of Crewkerne Leisure Management Ltd.
 Katy Pritchard Katy Pritchard katy.pritchard@crewkerne-tc.gov.uk Katy moved here in 2013 and works for the NHS. She is a PROMISE mentor, a member of the Crewkerne District Rotary Club, a bell-ringer, and Chair of the Bincombe Management Committee. She enjoys reading, walking, swimming, cooking, the arts and gardening
 Angie Singleton Angie Singleton   angela.singleton@crewkerne-tc.gov.uk Angie has lived in Crewkerne since the 1960’s, and in this time has been a Town and District Councillor. She has been closely involved with the construction of Crewkerne Aqua Centre, George Reynolds Centre, the Local Information Centre and Church Street pedestrian area. She enjoys swimming, cinema and all forms of live entertainment.

dan.wakeman@crewkerne-tc.gov.uk Dan moved to Crewkerne as a teenager and went to a local school. He has been a School Governor for the First Schools and a SWAS First Responder. He works in Crewkerne and is a regular market stall holder.
